My heart goes out to you and your family.
I am a nurse and an advocate for Lyme disease. I could not help but notice your story and quickly write you and ask a question.
Has your daughter been tested for Lyme?
I continue to learn about Lyme and one of the things I read about that got the attention of the medical community was a group of parents concerns over their children being diagnosed with RA.
I cannot just read your story and not ask this question.
Has she been tested?
Remember, no tick or rash or tick bite need be noted to have Lyme.

My son, 12 now, was diagnosed at 17 months with JRA. It's been a long time and we're still going to Boston 2x year for checkups. Mass Arthritis Association was much more involved with parent/children meetings and involvement. I don't know if NH has grown larger with the help or not. Hi Thompson family! I just finished watching the segment on WMUR News 9 about Hannah and her JRA. I have the deepest sympathy for Hannah as I know what she and her family are going through. I am 18 years old and ten years ago I was diagnosed with JRA (the doctors suspect it was a result of Lyme Disease, which I tested positive for). I had severe pain and couldn't jump, kneel, or participate in any physical activities. I was put on Naproxen for two years followed by Hydroxychloroquine for four years. I prayed for healing every night from the day I was diagnosed to the day I stopped feeling pain. Today, I no longer need to take any medication but I do have abnormally large joints and I find I can't run for long distances because it bothers my knees. However, I wanted to share my story with you so that you know things get easier and God has a way of blessing everyone. Hannah will be stronger because of this and your family is in my prayers!! I am now married with 3 daughters. Caitlyn (6), has Tourette's Syndrome, Ashlyn (5) is autistic, and Karilyn (3) is healthy, healthy, healthy.
I saw your story, and I am so sorry that your daughter experiences this! Though our daughters have different ailments, please feel free to contact me for anything! I can definitely relate to the frustration of not knowing, the trips to the doctors, etc. We, too, go to Children's Hospital. Well, we used to until we lost the health insurance for our girls. We're working on that, though!

Hey!! All of these pictures are SO cute! I miss you all so much! I made sure my family taped Hannah on the news so I can watch it when I come home next weekend :) Glad to see that everything is improving! I was reading the comments and it's so cool that people from everywhere are commenting and hearing her story. Hannah is an amazing little girl and it's so great that she is so strong and a trooper. I am blessed to be a part of your families life, I miss you guys so much! I am sure some Florida sunshine will cheer everyone up--I'll try to bring some home ;) My family and I will continue to keep Hannah and the family in prayer--God has a plan, even though sometimes we don't understand, but look how many lives she has touched already :)

By any chance have you had your daughter tested for Lyme Disease?? I too was diagnosed with JRA at the age of 3 but only recently discovered it was Lyme Disease after 42 years of every diagnosis under the sun and a great deal of pain along with a variety of other Lyme symptoms.
